Yes, you guessed it! It's that time of the year. Time to party and sum up, time to cherish and be proud!

On the 2nd of December, we gathered to celebrate together, once again, in a Christmasy setting!

Location

The location for this year's Christmas Party, Chios Social Lounge, exceeded our expectations, and awaited us with the best cozy vibes and awesome drinks and food.

Festive Spirit

The festive spirit soared as guests were greeted with a glass of sparkling vibes upon arrival. As night went on, the lights got dimmer, the laughs got louder, and the memories got better. Phones came out to capture moments that were already destined to become group chat classics.

We were delighted to welcome several guests from abroad to our corporate Christmas party, which added a truly international touch to the celebration. Their presence gave us the opportunity to connect beyond borders, share traditions, and strengthen our professional relationships in a warm and festive setting.

It was a pleasure to celebrate the season together, exchange stories and laughter, and make our guests feel at home while creating memorable moments for everyone involved.

Food

The culinary delights at CHIOS Social Lounge never disappoint. Guests were treated to a delectable array of dishes that catered to various tastes, adding a touch of gourmet indulgence to the evening. Sweet treats added to the festive mood, ensuring there was something for everyone to savor.

Dancing Time

Strangers became friends, friends became family, and everyone agreed on one thing: this party was different. Even if shy at the beginning, the DJ soon managed to get us to get up and not sit down till the end of the evening . It was like a genuine retro party, which we all enjoyed.

By the end of the night, feet were tired, and hearts were full. Good vibes, great people, and a night that was, without question, completely lit.

In the end, this wasn’t just a Christmas party – it was a moment. A night where stress melted away, laughter took over, and everyone fully lived in the joy of the season. Long after the music stopped and the lights came on, the energy of the night lingered, carried in inside jokes, blurry photos, and stories retold with a smile.

It proved that, when the right people come together, a little holiday spirit can turn an ordinary gathering into an unforgettable, awesome celebration, that truly captured the magic of Christmas.

Unplugged and Reconnected: A Day in the Nature

This year our team set off for a well-deserved day of connection, fun, and relaxation at Treepi, Mărcești. The agenda was packed with activities designed to help us unwind, bond, and recharge — and it delivered on every front! Here's how the day unfolded:

A Warm Welcome at Treepi

As we arrived at Treepi in Mărcești, we were greeted by a peaceful, nature-filled setting — open green spaces, fresh air, and a relaxed atmosphere that instantly made us feel at ease. The location was beautifully arranged to encourage connection and calm, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead.

 Tasty Moments

We were treated to a delicious mix of flavors throughout the day — from fluffy donuts that added a sweet touch, to savory mini-burgers that quickly became a crowd favorite.

The traditional ciaun, rich and comforting, brought everyone together and added a local flair to the experience. Each bite was a moment to enjoy and connect.

Fun Teambuilding Activities

Our day was filled with engaging activities that sparked collaboration and connection.

We kicked things off with a thoughtful discussion on work-life balance, followed by a lively round of  Human Bingo.

Above these shared activities that brought the whole team together, everyone found their own way to enjoy the day. Whether it was a lively game of ping-pong or volleyball, a focused round of archery, or simply relaxing in hammocks under the shade of the trees, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

One of the most exciting parts of the day was the Treasure Hunt — a dynamic challenge that had us exploring the area, solving clues, and working together in teams. It sparked friendly competition, quick thinking, and lots of laughs as we raced to uncover hidden surprises and complete the tasks. And congratulations to the winning team!

Recently, we honored colleagues who have reached impressive milestones of 5, 10, and 15 years with us. Continuing our cherished tradition, we marked these achievements during this year's Summer Party — a special occasion that recognizes the commitment and passion that drive our success year after year.

As we celebrate the evolution of our company, we're proud to share reflections from colleagues who have been part of this transformation, so here is what some of our team members have to say about what made them stick with us for so long.

Hajnalka Matekovits

Driven by challenges and a love for learning new things, Hajni explored different roles—and in 15 years with the company, there was never a dull moment. Everything has changed over time: she worked with 7 managing directors and over 400 colleagues, remembering each of them. It’s worth mentioning that the friendly climate in recent years has truly managed to create a sense of community, it’s something that made her stay for so long with UNIQA Software Services.

Veronica Roman

A stable team in both Romania and Austria creates strong synergy.

While many things changed, this is what she appreciates most about the company – it gives us all the chance to better ourselves and keep learning.

Imola Mosescu-Dobra

While the frameworks have changed — from Waterfall to Agile — one thing has remained the same: the constant helpfulness and reliability of the team. It’s still the same good environment.

The atmosphere and the colleagues from Cluj are a big part of what made her want to stick with USS.

Marius Marian

Trust and predictability, along with a wide range of new and diverse projects, are all things that are worth remaining in this company. There are many more colleagues now, but also plenty of opportunities to develop ourselves.

Valentin Zaharia

The people and lasting relationships built over the years, along with the joy of meeting new colleagues who bring fresh blood, made Valentin stay for over 10 years with UNIQA!

While many physical things have changed – from the coffee mugs to the new office spaces – some things remain constant, like the enduring relationships that continue to define our workplace.

Ada Mican

A strong sense of belonging and inspiring colleagues motivate her to become a better person.

The work-life balance is also something worth staying for. Her skills have grown alongside all the changes over time, and the upgraded office space is definitely something she enjoys.

A Day of Recognition and Enjoyment: USS Cluj Summer Gathering

Once upon a time, on a sunny summer day, the USS Cluj team gathered to celebrate!

And what's the sun, without some fun? And what's the fun without some cool colleagues to share the joy with? The evening of that day caught us on a cozy terrace, vibing and chatting, dancing and laughing, sharing and clapping.

The CHIOS Lounge location was perfect: On the lake, in the park, with a cool view and a welcoming interior.

As the festive season approached, UNIQA Software Services celebrated the year’s achievements with a Christmas Party at the charming Casa Boema in Cluj-Napoca. The evening was filled with socialising and camaraderie, as colleagues from various locations came together to mark the occasion.

Casa Boema, a stunning venue in the heart of Cluj-Napoca, set the perfect stage for our Christmas celebration. Its cozy ambiance created a warm and festive atmosphere, bringing holiday cheer to everyone in attendance.

The festive spirit soared as guests were greeted with a glass of Prosecco upon arrival. This celebratory gesture set the tone for a night of warmth and togetherness, marking the beginning of a great evening.
