We were treated to a delicious mix of flavors throughout the day — from fluffy donuts that added a sweet touch, to savory mini-burgers that quickly became a crowd favorite.

The traditional ciaun, rich and comforting, brought everyone together and added a local flair to the experience. Each bite was a moment to enjoy and connect. 

Fun Teambuilding Activities

Our day was filled with engaging activities that sparked collaboration and connection.

We kicked things off with a thoughtful discussion on work-life balance, followed by a lively round of  Human Bingo. 

Above these shared activities that brought the whole team together, everyone found their own way to enjoy the day. Whether it was a lively game of ping-pong or volleyball, a focused round of archery, or simply relaxing in hammocks under the shade of the trees, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Treasure Hunt Adventure 

One of the most exciting parts of the day was the Treasure Hunt — a dynamic challenge that had us exploring the area, solving clues, and working together in teams. It sparked friendly competition, quick thinking, and lots of laughs as we raced to uncover hidden surprises and complete the tasks. And congratulations to the winning team! 

Adding a Touch of PEGA to Azure Days

Representing UNIQA Software Services, Dan Crasnic, our Local Unit Manager and PEGA Platform Lead, had the privilege of taking part in this great experience, sharing valuable insights and best practices while also adding an extra bit of PEGA magic to the discussions.

His participation highlighted how automation, cloud computing, and business process optimization can work seamlessly together to drive innovation and efficiency.

Summer Party
Our Summer Party at Upplace was all about connection, celebration, and delicious indulgence. We honored colleagues who reached incredible milestones—5, 10, and 15 years of dedication to our company—with heartfelt applause. The comfy, colorful atmosphere and laid-back conversations made it a day to remember.

Teambuilding Day – Marisel Mountains 
This year’s teambuilding event at Dupa Ski La wU in the Marisel Mountains brought us closer as a team. Against a backdrop of breathtaking views, we bonded over shared moments, great food, and a collective mission to give back by cleaning the forest—a perfect blend of camaraderie, nature, and purpose.

Christmas Party
Our Christmas Party was the grand finale of the year, filled with holiday cheer, delicious treats, and festive fun. A perfect way to celebrate the season and the success of 2024 together.

CSR Initiatives: Making a Difference

We proudly supported 5 impactful charity initiatives this year, reflecting our commitment to giving back to the community.

A Warm Meal/ O Masa Calda
Our volunteers joined the Communal Kitchen in Cluj-Napoca and helped prepared meals for those in need – with care, compassion, and a developing a sense of belonging.

Walking Month
Our colleagues walked together in teams for a noble cause, raising 2,574 RON while boosting our health and team spirit.

St. Nicholas Charity Fair
Through DIY workshops and handmade items, we raised 3,380 RON for Centrul de Îngrijiri Paliative Pediatrice “Sfântul Hristofor” in just three hours. A heartwarming effort that showed the power of creativity and teamwork.

• Asociația Păsări : We sponsored education and care for children with serious illnesses.

Diverse Learning Opportunities

To ensure that our community members have the best possible learning experience, we’ve thought of organizing our meetings in multiple and various types, for example:

• Overview Sessions: Presentation of a particular concept or topic in PEGA. Best practices, recommended approaches for optimizing PEGA development, security considerations etc.
• Hands-On Trainings: Practical, hands-on experience with a specific aspect, such as creating Data Pages, Data Transforms or Rules and Rule Sets.
• Q&A Sessions: Opportunity for participants to ask questions and get answers on specific topics.
• Case Studies: This session focuses on a real-world example or project, and provides an opportunity for participants to see how PEGA concepts and techniques are applied in practice.
• Roundtable Discussions: A roundtable discussion is an opportunity for participants to discuss a specific topic in a group setting, sharing their experiences and ideas.

BAART Team – Cluj Office OktobertFest & Salina Turda Visit

The BAART team held their PI Planning session at our Cluj office, where colleagues from Romania, Austria, and Germany gathered to collaborate and strategize for the upcoming quarter. 

Oktoberfest Celebration

We kicked off the events series with an Oktoberfest party attended by almost 100 colleagues from Romania, Austria, Germany, and Bulgaria. The event featured a variety of activities, including a beer-tasting contest and a „Oktoberfest Word Search” game that saw enthusiastic participation from many team members. The food was provided by Klausenburger, adding an authentic touch to the celebration.

 

The decorations for the Oktoberfest event were beautifully crafted by Johanna Martha Dragomir, Anca Maria Ungureanu, and Nicolae Culda. Their hard work transformed the space into a festive environment that set the mood for the celebrations.

A series of social games were organized, allowing colleagues to interact and bond. These activities were a great way to unwind after intense planning sessions and promote team cohesion.

Salina Turda Visit
As part of the team-building activities, we organized a visit to Salina Turda, where colleagues had the chance to explore this unique underground attraction. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to socialize and connect in a relaxed setting outside the office.

LV, SHUK & CORPO Teams – Radisson Blu & Cluj City Tour 

The LV and SHUK teams held their PI Planning session at Radisson Blu. The event was followed by a city tour of Cluj-Napoca, giving everyone a chance to explore the vibrant and historic center of our city. 

After the city tour, the teams gathered for a traditional Romanian dinner at Roata. The menu featured delicious local dishes, providing an authentic experience that was appreciated by all attendees. 

Automation Teams – Grand Hotel Italia 

The Automation PI Planning was at the Grand Hotel Italia between October 8th and 9th, with over 90 participants from Romania, Austria, Bulgaria, and Slovakia. This event not only focused on current projects but also on shaping the future of AI at UNIQA. 

AI Challenge

A highlight of the event was the AI Challenge, where agile teams within the value train proposed innovative AI-based insurance products. The top three teams were awarded prizes and received high praise from AI expert Anca Goron of AVA Technology, who guided the teams through the challenge. 

Food Cooked with Love( including traditional pancakes and doughnuts)

No team-building event is complete without great food, and Dupa Ski la Wu didn’t disappoint!

We were treated to a delicious spread, but the highlight was the homemade traditional pancakes and doughnuts. Prepared with love, these sweet treats gave us the energy to fully enjoy the day’s activities and added a comforting touch of Romanian tradition to our experience.

Fun Teambuilding Activities

Between the laughter and fresh air, our team-building activities kept us on our toes all day and the fun games encouraged collaboration and interaction.

Our CSR Initiative: A Cleaner, Greener Forest

This year, we wanted to do more than just have fun—we wanted to give back. We rolled up our sleeves and dedicated part of our day to a CSR initiative, cleaning the beautiful forests of the Marisel Mountains. It was a rewarding experience as we managed to gather a lorry full of rubbish, leaving the forest cleaner and healthier. The entire team got involved, and by the end of the day, we felt proud knowing that we had contributed to preserving the natural beauty of this area.
