At UNIQA, you’ll have the chance to work in many cutting-edge areas of development, using a wide range of front-end and back-end development tools. At the moment, we’re doing a lot of work in areas such as robot process automation (RPA), business process automation (BPA) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).
We also handle many customer-facing projects such as loyalty schemes, point of sale solutions and online insurance policy sales and management.
The front-end technologies we work with include HTML5, JavaScript, ECMAScript 6, Struts, JSF Richfaces, ReactJS and AngularJS.
Meanwhile, at the back-end, we also use Java, Java EE, EJB, RESTEasy and Soap.
We also work with PEGA, Low Code Programming, SAG webMethods and IBM Filenet.
We offer a close-knit, friendly working environment where everybody gets the support they need to do their best work.

Our main working methodology is project driven development, and we also use the Agile approach.
Our Projects
Renewal of core insurance system
This is one of the biggest IT-project in Europe in the last 20 years. In partnership with IBM we will replace and modernize all our legacy Back-end systems. Main technologies are Java, SAG webMethods and PEGA from Pegasystems.
Insurance platform for Raiffeisen Bank
This platform facilitates the selling of insurance policies throughout Austria for all Raiffeisen Bank clients. It can be used both directly, by bank clients, and indirectly, by the bank’s agents. The front end was developed with HTML5, JavaScript, ECMAScript 6, Struts, JSF Richfaces, and ReactJS, while for the back end we used Java and Java EE.
Webmethods for BPMS and integration
We integrate services between our front-end and back-end systems using Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and digitalize and automate business processes (BPMS). The technology for this is SAG webMethods, Java, SOAP & REST and the project is managed as an Agile project.
Enterprise content management system
This is a BPA (business process automation) project for complex business use cases in the area of content management. We are using IBM-FileNet and SAG webMethods, working under the Agile methodology.
CRM and Sales System with PEGA
Kubi-CRM is a loyalty program for UNIQA clients that offers them benefits in line with the terms of their contracts, while POS (‘point of sale’) is an application that helps agents and brokers agree insurance contracts with their clients. For these projects, we handled development with PEGA (Java-based components and services), Java and ReactJS.
